Lemon Ball Football is recruiting athletes for our inaugural Spring 2027 season!
We’re building a community-first, high-energy league where the game is fast, fair, and fun — and you get paid to do what you love. In order to build a robust draft pool, we will be hosting ONE tryout each month starting August 2025.

Tryout Season Begins: August 2025
Tryout Locations: Multiple Texas cities (Dallas, Austin, Houston — more announced soon!)

League-Run tryouts

Transparent Tryout Fees:

$75
Must register in advance-no walkups.

Tryouts are league-run. This ensures all players are evaluated fairly and can be drafted to any team in the league. Tryouts are the only entry point into the league- this ensure no "back door" deals exist to give players an advantage over other players.

Respect teammates, coaches, fans, and officials.
Maintain professionalism on and off the field.
Uphold the values of fair play and sportsmanship.
Represent the league with pride.

what to expect

Drills, one-on-ones, and scrimmage reps (in character)
- 10-yard split
- 40-yard dash
- Pro agility shuttle
- L-drill (3-cone drill)
Evaluations by Lemon Ball League Staff & Team Scouts
Character assessment (off-field professionalism matters here!)

requirements to participate

Must be 18 years or older
Must bring a valid photo ID
Must complete and sign a Lemon Ball Tryout Waiver (provided at check-in or online)
Athletic wear and cleats recommended — helmets/pads not needed
Must come with your own persona, character, special skill, trick play, etc.!

A spot in the 2026 Lemon Ball Draft Pool
The chance to be selected by a team and signed to a paid player contract
Full player benefits including league promotion, weekly game pay, and athlete protections
